This belt squat hangs the load from the hips through a belt chain on the lever arm, training the quadriceps and glutes while keeping the load off the spine and shoulders. Resistance comes from standard weight plates loaded on the weight horns, so the load can progress gradually from warm-up sets to heavy work.
